We enjoyed the convenient location. A true ski in and ski out right from the pool area. A bus stop is located across the street with a short 5 minute ride to Whistler village. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, soap, cleaning spray, paper towels and trash bags. Beds were comfortable and the space was pleasant for 5 people. A few maintenance items need to be addressed. But they are simple fixes that I am sure the property manager will tend to as we did notify them. The place has no view as it faces a service road. Overall a good experience and we would stay again.

This condo is in a great location for skiers and the outdoor amenities looked nice (pool and hot tub) though we didn’t use.This unit could really use an upgrade. Master bathroom has a ton of mould growing in the grout/the shower leaks onto the floor and the carpets are stained in the living room. You can see that they are trying to make some updates such as a newer dishwasher and what looks like a newer couch in the living room. Location wise is great for ski/snowboarders with the ski in and out, but for the regular person just wanting a stay in Whistler, the trek up and down the mountain can become a bit tiresome. Overall a decent space but starting to feel tired for sure.

We just loved the Aspens location and this stay! We had a family of 5 with teens and everyone had a bed and enough room to spread out and relax with all of our ski gear. There was a gas grill, kitchen was well equipped, the ski in and ski out was extremely convenient as was the ski valet so we did not need to lug our skis up and down daily. The walk to Blackcomb down the hill is only 2-3 minutes and had many restaurants and stores. We were right next to the Blackcomb gondola and in summer there is a little mini putt place right there. My 13 yr old daughter left her phone in the room after checkout on a Sunday and the host was quick to save the day! The cleaning crew found it and left it out for us to retrieve easily. The pool was super warm too and there were 3 large hot tubs to use. The only recommendation would be to add some family games/cards in the unit, but the shared library had books/games for us to use. Highly recommend this stay-thanks again!

The Aspens on Blackcomb is a great location and this unit had everything we needed for our New Years stay in Whistler. It’s great being able to ski down to your accommodation check your board in with the concierge then get changed and head down to the Hot Tub. We will happily stay here again.

We had an enjoyable stay at this Aspens condo. The unit is clean and accommodated our family of five very nicely. While we didn't have any issues with noise, this unit is fairly close to the the main elevators for the building.
It is hard to beat the location of the Aspens itself, it is just off the Blackcomb gondola, and luckily the snow arrived just prior to our coming, making it a true ski-in/ski-out experience.
We did have a couple minor issues with dirty plates and a malfunctioning TV remote control in the second bedroom, but overall those were pretty minor for our overall stay. And the property manager did say they would rectify those issues.

The accommodation was fantastic for our family of 5.
It was clean, and the ski in and out was good.
We'd def stay in the complex again.
However, we visited from Aus and asked 3 times in writing to extend our stay (weeks and weeks before we arrived); we finally got a response and had 12 hours to approve it. We missed that deadline as we were flying over.
They then leased it out to someone else, knowing we really wanted it.
We get things happen, it just would have been great to have more grace & I wanted other Aussies to be aware that if you do get a reply, you may need to answer it in the middle of the night; otherwise, what you wanted is gone!

Headed to Whistler for our yearly family trip. Very clean and nice condo. It was extremely hot the week we stayed and the unit doesn't have AC and only a small window that opens in each room, they had 3 small standup fans but it was so hot. We slept with all windows and slider open, with no release. Thank goodness for a great pool. We usually stay in the main village, it's a little walk to the main village but not horrible. Very nice location.

This place was perfect for us. Checking in was easy, we arranged a remote check in. Kitchen had everything we needed. Comfortable beds, my kids loved having their own space with bunk beds. There were plenty of towels and pool towel checkout was easy at the front desk. The pool was great, very clean and good sized. With no AC in the unit, I had read some past reviews and brought 2 table fans which came in handy to add to the 3 fans already in the unit. Next time we visit we will definitely look into staying in this same place again.

We came to Whistler for the mountain biking. This is a great place to stay for that. No bikes in rooms, which is fine. Only downside is the $25/day extortion to park, but that’s not the condos fault. Would definitely stay again.

Property a bit tired and in need of an uplift. However the location was ideal for ski in/ski out and short walk to village. Ski vallet was very convenient as well as ski rental right in the lobby. Everything was well organized and no issues. Small pain to check in in a completely different location but was all explained accurately so wasn’t a big issue. First trip to Whistler. Absolutely stunning scenery but VERY crowded on weekends compared to other ski resorts.

Fantastic location! Super easy to ski-in/ski-out and get right on the Blackcomb Gondola. The Whistler Village is a short 10-min walk away (includes a short stretch of walking on the lower part of the ski run). The free overnight ski valet was really convenient and the hot tubs are nice. The condo was clean and had a good variety of kitchen equipment for cooking at home. Be aware that the check-in location is about a mile from the actual condo; this was inconvenient for us because we arrived via airport shuttle and didn't have a car to drive down there. You can arrange remote check-in in advance, but I didn't know that until arrival so had to figure out a way to get down there after dropping off our ski equipment at the condo. Other than that small glitch, our stay at the condo was awesome and the location can't be beat!

This property was an excellent location. We were able to walk everywhere we went. Quiet side of the Aspens complex. We were not able to park in the parking structure because we had a roof top box. Had to find parking on the street, which was difficult. Also would have loved an in unit washer/dryer instead of $2.50 a load in common wash room. But overall, a great value and fabulous location!

We've stayed at the Aspens several times now and love it. This unit was great and very convient as it was close to the elevator/stairs. Our main issue was with the propery manager. They have a process which requires being physically meeting them in the village to sign paperwork and obtain the code. On top of this, if you arrive after their office closure time you need to call and wait for a security person. I waited 40mn at 11pm. All the other units I've stayed at the Aspens had a virtual check-in with digital signatures and codes provided via email. In addition, the Aspens is still having problems with providing towels for the pool (this was the case in April as well). More challenging is that their bike storage is over capacity and stuffed with what appears to be owners bikes left there permanently. I appreciated their security procedures such as locking it to all access after 10pm but they need to do a better job of managing the bike lock off space and providing clear instructions if you arrive after it is locked.

The unit itself was very nice, clean and well-equipped, though lacking a bit in homey touches - felt more like a hotel room than a home. Great location. Big plus was the ability to rent ski equipment on property and to be on the slope in no time. You go through the back gate and you are on the Blackcomb slope. Very short walk to Upper Village. The apartment is very clean and comfortable, nicely furnished with everything you need. Due to Covid, we didn’t feel comfortable to go to restaurants but we ordered in through DoorDash. Walking to Whistler village is easy. This is our second time at Aspens and we love it! One note, if you want to ski on Whistler, you go up on Blackcomb, take Peak to Peak gondola and you are there. No extra cost. Totally worth the trip.

Loved the Aspens and the ability to walk to Blackcomb Gondola, as well as the village (via a path that is currently beautifully lit for the holidays). We also enjoyed a nightly après-ski soak in one of the 3 hot tubs on the property. In the unit, the bathrooms, kitchen & bedding were all clean, but the unit itself is a bit worn. The kitchen was pretty well stocked and there is a nice BBQ on the patio. Overall - a very good property & stay!
Notes: parking is very convenient under the property but is an additional fee; check-in is off-property in Whistler Village.

We’ve stayed at the Aspens before great space and location. I know with the pandemic safety is very important but I think the strata interpretation of physical distancing at the pool was too restrictive. Only 10 people in the pool area probably gave 10 metres between family groups

Our only issue that has nothing to do with the property is that the property is a ski in/out location however the mountain was not ready yet so we had to take the bus to the gondola and go tu the higher slopes. This was a great condo within walking distance of the village. The complex was well managed and it had everything that we needed. There are two secure bicycle lockups and wash area for mtn bikes outside the front doors and easy connections to the trail system. If you are traveling to whistler for mtn biking this is in ideal place to stay.

Just returned from our stay in unit 220 at The Aspens and we were so impressed with every bit of our accomodations.
Cozy:
The sectional sofa offered the perfect spot to snuggle in for the evening, in front of the fireplace with our family of 4. Many other units I looked at had furnishings that looked less-than comfortable, so this was a big consideration for us. The dining booth was also great! Plenty of space to eat and play cards. The beds are ahhh-mazing. Excellent mattresses, loads of high-quality pillows and the comforters are plush with crisp sheets - truly divine.
Well-Appointed:
The kitchen had everything we needed, there were TONS of towels in the bathrooms, ample closet space and the portable fans for each sleeping area were excellent and a lovely surprise!
Convenience:
The ease of check-in, prepared documents, directions, info, etc - an incredibly well-oiled process all around. The Aspens has a ski rental facility just off it's lobby which was not only convenient but very affordable. Add that to the ski valet to check-in/out your skis at the start/end of the day and you are all set! Plus the pool/spa facilities are great and the towels are provided on your way!
I would recommend this spot 100% and hope to rebook it again in the future!! Thanks so much!

We had a great 10 days in this unit. It was well stocked with cookware, utensils. Bedding was good, appliances good, hot water good. 2 families with 2 children worked out fine. Whistler Ideal reps were very responsive to any issues that arose, about as good as any we have dealt with. The hot tubs and pool were great and the ski valet and proximity to slope made for excellent access to Blackcomb. It also helped that we had great spring weather. Close enough to walk to upper village, easily. Not a bad walk to main village. All thumbs up!

Well appointed modern condo unit in the 'Aspens on Blackcomb' lodge.
Edit: extremely unfair for Michael P to leave a 1 star review (see below). My group had zero issues with check-in. Very clear check-in instructions were left numerous times and weeks before my arrival that check-in was in Whistler Village and not at the actual lodge (~5 minute drive from Aspens on Blackcomb) Please pay attention to instructions before hand and you will love your stay!
Location was perfect: About a two minute walk through the lodge to the lower slopes of Blackcomb mountain, ~100 yards uphill from the new Blackcomb gondola. ~10-15 minute walk to Whistler Village.
Amenities were thoughtfully provided in the unit: Extra towels, plenty of diverse cookware plus an outdoor grill. Comfortable furniture and plenty of places to sit, at the table, on the couch, and outside on the patio.
Lodge: three hot tubs and an pool plus a fitness center, with free rental towels at the front desk.
Summary: perfect place to stay for a reunion ski trip or a family trip at Whistler Blackcomb. Convenience all the way around. Highly recommend to any large group of 6 or more!
