Find the perfect place to stay in Whistler
A Whistler townhome sits in the sweet spot between a condo and a full standalone chalet, and for many guests, it is the ideal type of vacation rental in the resort. Unlike a condo, a townhome has its own private exterior entrance, giving you the feel of a standalone home without the price tag of a full chalet. Multi-level layouts, full kitchens, private outdoor spaces, and generous living areas make Whistler townhomes particularly well-suited to families, groups, and anyone who wants a little more room to spread out and settle in. You may know it as a townhouse, a rowhouse, or simply a multi-level vacation home. Whatever you call it, the experience is the same: the comfort and privacy of your own front door, paired with the convenience of a well-located Whistler address.
What is a Townhome in Whistler?
Whistler townhomes are located within a complex but accessed via their own private exterior entrance rather than a shared lobby or hallway. This gives guests the feel of a standalone home while still benefiting from shared complex amenities that often include hot tubs, pools, gyms, and underground parking. Spread across multiple levels with separate bedrooms, living areas, and full kitchens, a Whistler townhome offers a genuine home away from home experience that a hotel or condo simply cannot replicate.
Whistler Townhome Vacation Rentals for Skiers & Snowboarders
Whistler townhomes are available across the valley from Village Centre and Village North to the Benchlands, Upper Village, and Creekside, meaning there is a townhome close to the mountain access point that works best for your group. Many complexes sit within easy walking distance of the Whistler Gondola or the Creekside Gondola, and several offer ski-in/ski-out access directly onto Whistler Blackcomb. Boot dryers, secure ski storage, and underground parking are common amenities across our townhome portfolio, making the daily rhythm of a ski trip as smooth as possible.
Whistler Townhome Vacation Rentals for Mountain Biking & Summer Adventure
A townhome is an excellent base for a Whistler summer trip. The multi-level layout gives every member of the group their own space after a long day on the Whistler Mountain Bike Park or the Valley Trail, while a private outdoor area or deck is the perfect place to wind down with a cold drink as the mountain light fades. Many complexes offer secure bike storage, keeping your gear safe and accessible throughout your stay. With townhomes spread across Whistler from the village core to quieter residential neighborhoods like Creekside and Blueberry, you can choose a location that puts you closest to the trails and lakes you want to explore.

A History and Overview of Whistler
Whistler and the surrounding areas hold thousands of years of history as these lands were the home of the Coast Salish First Nations before Europeans arrived, with Whistler serving as a valuable trading post between the Squamish and Lil'wat nations. Many of the hiking tracks around Whistler are actually the traditional routes of the Coast Salish peoples, and you can follow their paths to view nature and the landscape similarly to how they once did. You can also visit the Squamish-Lil'wat Cultural Centre to get a complete grasp of the region's history and identity.
Named "Whistler" thanks to the shrill sound that the local hoary marmot populations make, the early 1900s saw European settlement, first as a small hunting and fishing village, then as a successful mining town until the 1950s turned it into a popular summer vacation spot. The 1960s saw the first ski resort on the mountain open, and then in 2010, Whistler hosted the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
