It was definitely dated and the pictures look more pristine than it is. I personally think the housekeeping staff needs to be better, they obviously hadn’t swept the floors/mopped. Hair on the floor and furniture, sesame seeds and crumbs all over. Beds wrinkly and slanted, sticky food residue on cabinets…etc!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in Whistler. This trip was especially meaningful as it allowed us to connect with my mother, who recently survived brain cancer. My family resides in Hong Kong, while my mother is based in New York. I can't think of a better place to celebrate Christmas than Whistler Blackcomb.
Our accommodation was spacious and bright, with a beautiful view of the Blackcomb gondola and the mountain base. The location was convenient, allowing my mother and wife—both non-skiers—to easily access excellent shops and restaurants. I would stay there again in a heartbeat and cherish the memories we created as a family.

There were a couple of communication issues and missing/incorrect passwords for accessing the ski storage and main areas so be sure to get those in advance. Perfect location for a summer riding holiday with the family! Large, spacious apartment with fantastic views. The best part is the large outdoor deck, something you don’t often find in Whistler apartments! Was the perfect place to relax of an evening in the heat after a day of riding. Spa is also an added bonus! Bike lock up also not as busy as other resorts so this is great for a family travelling with five bikes! Will definitely try and stay again!

Condo was as pictured- very much like a hotel as far as what was provided (linens, toiletries, etc). No personal artifacts, which was kind of nice but also meant no extra touches or flourishes! Fine for us as we are used to doing a grocery shop for our needs.
Check in was kind of a pain as we had to go to a different part of town and wait in line to check in (much like a hotel) when really all we got were codes (which could have been emailed). We did also get a parking pass, but I feel like that could have been left for us at the building, as there was also a staffed front desk there.
Also, the codes were a bit ridiculous in length AND they didn’t give us an elevator code.
But all the staff were very nice and kind and easy to communicate with. Just kind of silly policies.
The unit was very large and lovely and we felt very comfortable. The area is great and has access to Upper Village, which seems smaller than the main area but had lots of kid activities. Main area was a short drive or walk via trails.

It was very very clean which I always appreciate. Some of the furniture was looking a little used but that is expected for a rental so did not bother me at all. Whistler Ideal was very responsive. The location of this property could not be better; literally steps to the lift. (To be clear it is NOT a ski in/ski out property. You do have to walk to the lift but that is super easy.)
The condo itself is nicely appointed.
Our checkin process however was below par. You cannot checkin at the property. You have to drive into town. Then the people in town failed to provide us with the code needed to access the parking garage, the after hours entry to the building or the mandatory storage area for skis. That made it impossible to pull into the parking garage when we arrived to unload. There is a front desk with an attendant but she refused to help us since this unit is not managed by her company.
Ultimately we did get the code, but that made our arrival after a long day of travel a hassle.
Also, for an expensive unit, it is our experience that the rental is equipped with at least a couple of days of coffee. In fact, often at higher priced rentals like this one, we usually arrive to a welcome basket with treats, wine, etc. This one did t even have coffee for the first morning.
I left two bags of freshly ground coffee for the next renter.

We just arrived home after 9 days of staying in this unit with our two teenage sons (17yrs, 15yrs) plus a friend of my husbands and we had an incredible time! We have been coming to Whistler for the past 7 years to ski for spring break and normally stay in Creekside but decided to change it up this year. This unit accommodated us all perfectly! Check in was easy at Deer Lodge. Nice to have a covered parking space. Beds/sheets were very comfortable. All rooms had fans, which we didn't need, but used as a sound machine at night. Tv was easy to use, and stream shows etc. Some reviews stated poor or no internet in the master, but we didn't have any issues unless in the bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked. There were some lights out but I'm sure Rob, the owner, would have come replaced bulbs if asked. The hot tub was out of this world, and we used it daily!!! There was only one day that we went down to the public pool/hot tub and there were a ton of people there, so we were thankful to have our own. The unit itself is ginormous and you can tell by the La Chamois floor plan that it's the biggest unit in the building, plus having a private balcony to watch all the action coming down the mountain was a huge plus. Also, there were plenty of excellent restaurants right outside the door- RMU (excellent après food and cocktails), Handlebar (best pizza ever), Portobello (wonderful grab and go), Milestones and the little market (for simple kitchen items). There is also a beautiful walkway to the main village (5 min) over streams and covered bridges that we walked daily and would have been an easy walk with skis if you prefer to access the Whistler side of the mountain quickly. Boys loved walking to the main village for Mongolie Grill, Cows (ice cream) and Showcase for the only Burton snowboard rental in Whistler. The ski in/ski out location couldn't have been easier, as we skied or downloaded to the base daily and turned skis into Spicy Sports (nice gear, best rental prices in Whistler) on the plaza level of our building. We didn't use the huge available ski storage the unit offered because it was easier to hand off to Spicy Sports at the end of the day. Very easy to access both Blackcomb and Whistler Mountain from here and we skied every area including the glacier during our stay. Rob the owner was very sweet and accommodating! Very quick to respond to requests and you can tell he enjoys what he does. We will be back for sure!! Highly recommend A+++

The location in Upper Village was about a 15 minute walk from the core of Whistler, but not something that was too difficult to do even in the rain. No complaints across our stay, and would recommend it.

This unit was perfect for our family. It was as advertised. The location is perfect. The layout of the unit is conducive to families and kids. The hard floors are slippery but we were careful and had no issues with the kids. We loved every minute of the stay.
The kitchen is well appointed for a rental unit.
Any issues we had during our stay were quickly resolved.
The only blemish is the hot tub. It was lovely to have our own, but the motor bearings are damaged and thus very noisy. We couldn't use the jets. The property management team was informed and hopefully will have maintenance done in the near future!

We're a family of four so this place is excessive when it's just us, but throw in a pair of grandparents and it's perfect. We usually stay in one of the many two-bedroom condos in the area, and this property is a significant step up. The lift-side location, scenic hot tub, and large TV are unbeatable, and we loved how there are views out three sides of the unit so you can watch the lighting nuances as the day progresses. The common areas are a bit dated, and we would have appreciated a little better explanation of the parking (in particular, if you have a second car, for guests there is a $10 discount off the posted $35 daily charge), but that was trivial compared to our overall enjoyment of the stay. The shared pool/hot tub and exercise room are a nice perk, and the grandparents enjoyed the spacious master bedroom and general accessibility.

Hosts are very responsive to issues, and have a 24-hour front-desk line in-case emergency maintenance is required. The hotel's front-desk is a bit hostile towards users of this suite, so probably best to either avoid asking questions of them, or lie about which room you're in (things like asking for directions are met with a straight-up refusal to respond). The front desk is operated by a competitor.

Spent a week with 5 friends and had a great stay. Apartment is as advertised and slept 6 of us comfortably. Turnkey location at the base of blackcomb with adjacent (literally) ski rental, coffee shop and pub.
Free local bus service is reliable and makes trips into whistler village seamless, though you could probably walk. No real complaints during our stay but given price will mention: a few lights were out, not sure the boot dryer works (user error?), and no table on the balcony.

This is a A+ unit. The location is perfect, right next to the Blackcomb Gondola and the day lodge. There are restaurants and pubs right next store and it is just an easy 5-7 min walk on a lit path to the main village. The unit is clean, modern, well appointed, and quite spacious. We had a party of six male adults and had plenty of room with the addition of a rollaway cot. The eating area is quite large and the kitchen is well appointed. The deck of the unit is spacious with great views of the mountain and village and the Grill and Jacuzzi functions perfectly. The large laundry room with storage space is vey convenient and the multi station boot dryers is a nice added touch. The living room easily accommodated the entire group and was a great place to hang out and watch a movie or take a nap. Overall I would highly recommend this unit. I would also recommend the Spicy Sports below for your ski rental needs. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was well appointed and we cooked most of our meals in. With it being steps away from the Blackcomb gondola and a short walk to Whistler village, it was a great space. We loved the hot tub on the deck and the beds were comfortable as well. We come to Whistler about once per year and we would love to return to this condo next year.

You can expect the BEST views, kitchen that feels just like home, a wonderful hot tub for the sore muscles and duvets that were the best. Loved the large entrance where we could all dress to ski at once. Perfect ski in/ski out and just a few scenic minutes walk to Whistler.

The location and quality of the property are phenomenal. The property managers were very responsive and helpful when we requested additional bedding for the couch.
The only thing that could have gone better was the check-in. The check-in location is not at the same place as the condo and was a bit difficult to find.
This was only a minor issue and we highly recommend this property and look forward to staying there, again!

Great place, great location. Would just highlight - best not to have two hairdryers (one in each bathroom) in use at the same time - can trip the breaker.

Fabulous location and unit. Very well equipped kitchen and was perfect for our family of 6. The only thing that was unexpected was having to pay 30.00 additional a day for parking a second vehicle. The ad for the unit advertises FREE parking but does not specify that it includes only 1 vehicle.

We had a wonderful time at this location! We loved the rooftop hot tub, views, proximity to restaurants and stores. This was a wonderful kid friendly unit and there were great suggestions for babysitters! It was very clean and had a very stocked kitchen!

Best location for Blackcomb gondola. Rooftop patio with jacuzzi makes up for the lack of warmth in condo. Was missing the fireplace that was shown. No broom or vacuum supplied. Only 3 garbage bags were given. Property mgr/concierge service was horrible.

If you prefer the slightly less hectic atmosphere of the upper village then this is the prefect location. It is also very easy to get into the main Whistler village. Very easy life access, and all necessary amenities. Great for families also.
