Find the perfect place to stay in Whistler
Whistler Creekside is the original Whistler, and for those in the know, it remains one of the best-kept secrets in the Sea to Sky corridor. Quieter and more local in feel than Whistler Village, Creekside offers an authentic mountain town atmosphere without sacrificing any of the access or adventure that makes Whistler one of the world's great mountain destinations. Whether you are here for deep winter powder, summer singletrack, or simply a slower pace than the main village, a Creekside vacation rental delivers a genuinely different kind of Whistler experience.
Creekside Vacation Rentals for Skiers & Snowboarders
Creekside has its own dedicated gondola connecting directly to the Whistler Blackcomb ski area via the Big Red Express, Whistler Peak, and the Roundhouse Lodge. For skiers and snowboarders, this means a quieter base area and the same world-class terrain as Whistler Village with far less of the crowds. It is the kind of insider advantage that regular Whistler visitors swear by. Ski or ride all day, then come home to your private Creekside retreat without fighting the village traffic.
Creekside Vacation Rentals for Mountain Biking & Summer Adventure
When the snow clears, Creekside transforms into an equally compelling summer base. The Creekside Gondola provides direct lift access to the Whistler Mountain Bike Park, putting you on some of the best lift-accessed trails in the world within minutes of leaving your front door. The Valley Trail runs through Creekside, connecting you to Lost Lake Park, Whistler Village, and the broader Sea to Sky trail network. Alpha Lake and Nita Lake are both right in the heart of Creekside and are two of Whistler's most scenic and peaceful lakes, ideal for paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, and warm summer afternoons by the water.
Creekside Dining & Local Flavour
Creekside punches well above its size when it comes to dining. Rimrock Cafe is one of the most celebrated restaurants in all of Whistler, renowned for its exceptional seafood and one of the finest wine lists in British Columbia. The Red Door Bistro brings refined French and fusion fare to the neighborhood, and Cure Lounge offers a relaxed and scenic lakeside dining experience that is hard to beat after a long day on the mountain.

A History and Overview of Whistler
Whistler and the surrounding areas hold thousands of years of history as these lands were the home of the Coast Salish First Nations before Europeans arrived, with Whistler serving as a valuable trading post between the Squamish and Lil'wat nations. Many of the hiking tracks around Whistler are actually the traditional routes of the Coast Salish peoples, and you can follow their paths to view nature and the landscape similarly to how they once did. You can also visit the Squamish-Lil'wat Cultural Centre to get a complete grasp of the region's history and identity.
Named "Whistler" thanks to the shrill sound that the local hoary marmot populations make, the early 1900s saw European settlement, first as a small hunting and fishing village, then as a successful mining town until the 1950s turned it into a popular summer vacation spot. The 1960s saw the first ski resort on the mountain open, and then in 2010, Whistler hosted the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
