Our collection of romantic Whistler vacation rentals includes cozy one and two-bedroom condos in the heart of the village, intimate chalets with private hot tubs and mountain views, and secluded retreats tucked into the forest with nothing but the mountains and the stars for company. The Perfect Romantic Base in Whistler
The right vacation rental makes a romantic Whistler trip. A private hot tub under the night sky, a wood-burning fireplace in a vaulted chalet living room, a deck with an unobstructed view of Blackcomb Mountain catching the alpenglow at dusk — these are the details that turn a good trip into an unforgettable one. Many of our most popular romantic properties include private hot tubs, fireplaces, mountain views, and secluded outdoor spaces designed for two. Our reservations team can help you find the property that matches the occasion, whether that is an intimate studio steps from the village or a full private chalet with every luxury included.
Romantic Things to Do in Whistler in Winter
Winter in Whistler is romantic in a way that is almost impossible to manufacture. Fresh snowfall transforms the village into something out of a storybook, and the mountains provide a backdrop that no interior decorator could ever replicate. Ski or snowboard together on Whistler Blackcomb, the largest ski resort in North America, and end the day at the legendary Bearfoot Bistro for one of the most celebrated dining experiences in the Sea to Sky corridor. The Peak 2 Peak Gondola offers one of the most breathtaking and intimate experiences in the resort, floating silently between the peaks of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains with the entire valley below you. For something truly memorable, a snowmobile tour into the backcountry followed by a fireside breakfast is the kind of shared adventure that bonds couples deeply. And the Scandinave Spa, nestled in the forest on the edge of Lost Lake, is without question one of the most romantic experiences in Whistler year-round, with its outdoor Nordic hydrotherapy circuit of hot baths, cold plunges, saunas, and silent rest areas under the trees.
Romantic Things to Do in Whistler in Summer
Summer romance in Whistler has its own distinct magic. Paddle the River of Golden Dreams together on a warm afternoon, the water winding through meadows and forest with the mountains all around. Watch the sunset from a lakeside dock at Lost Lake or Green Lake as the light fades over the Coast Mountains. Walk hand in hand through the pedestrian village as the Olympic Plaza summer concert series fills the evening air. Dine on the celebrated patio at Araxi, widely regarded as one of the finest restaurants in British Columbia, or discover the intimacy of Bar Oso, Basalt Wine and Salumeria, or the Raven Room. A helicopter tour over the glaciers and peaks of the Coast Mountains is one of the most spectacular and romantic experiences Whistler has to offer, giving you a perspective on this extraordinary landscape that very few people ever get to share.
Romantic Dining in Whistler
Whistler's restaurant scene punches well above its size and is one of the most compelling reasons for couples to choose it as a destination. Bearfoot Bistro is the crown jewel, a world-class fine dining experience with an extraordinary wine cellar and a tasting menu that is genuinely worth building a trip around. Araxi Restaurant and Oyster Bar is another essential reservation, celebrated for its farm-to-table philosophy and its position at the heart of Whistler village life. For something more intimate, Bar Oso offers Spanish-inspired small plates, natural wines, and a warm, candlelit atmosphere that feels genuinely made for a slow evening for two. The Red Door Bistro in Creekside brings refined French and fusion cuisine to a beautifully intimate setting, making it one of the most underrated romantic dining experiences in the entire valley. Rimrock Cafe, also in Creekside, is one of Whistler's most cherished hidden gems, with exceptional seafood and one of the finest wine lists in British Columbia in a quietly romantic room that rewards those who seek it out.
Romantic Whistler Vacation Rentals for Couples
Our most popular romantic properties tend to be those that combine privacy, warmth, and a connection to the natural environment. A chalet or townhome with a private hot tub and a fireplace, set in a forested neighborhood like White Gold or Blueberry, gives couples the seclusion and atmosphere that a village-centre property simply cannot. For those who want to be in the heart of the action, a well-appointed village condo with mountain views and walkable access to Whistler's best restaurants and experiences is equally compelling. Whatever your preference, our team will help you find the right fit.

A History and Overview of Whistler
Whistler and the surrounding areas hold thousands of years of history as these lands were the home of the Coast Salish First Nations before Europeans arrived, with Whistler serving as a valuable trading post between the Squamish and Lil'wat nations. Many of the hiking tracks around Whistler are actually the traditional routes of the Coast Salish peoples, and you can follow their paths to view nature and the landscape similarly to how they once did. You can also visit the Squamish-Lil'wat Cultural Centre to get a complete grasp of the region's history and identity.
Named "Whistler" thanks to the shrill sound that the local hoary marmot populations make, the early 1900s saw European settlement, first as a small hunting and fishing village, then as a successful mining town until the 1950s turned it into a popular summer vacation spot. The 1960s saw the first ski resort on the mountain open, and then in 2010, Whistler hosted the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
